Dalmascan Rose

The Adalmascan family was a noble line that served as bodyguards to the Dalmascan royal family, up until the siege on Rabanastre. Told to run by the royal family, Rahim's parents fled Rabanastre, pursued by Garlean forces.Rahim was born on the run, their mother dying soon after. Their father, wounded when protecting them from an ambush, was discovered by a nomad tribe of Hellsguard Roegadyn. Begging them to "keep him safe", he passed soon after.Rahim grew up a nomad, though much of their childhood remains a blur; they awoke to their Echo, a variation which robbed them of nearly all autonomy, their mind reliving their previous lives over and over again, and turning their fur a stark white. They was given the name "White Lion" as part of their nomad family, and later the name "Ruslan Aslanov" on their travels, as they gave no name in return.When they came of age, the puppet was encouraged to go out into the world and do good. During the Calamity, they defended a wounded apothecary before vanishing back into the fray.Years later, they would run back into the apothecary, and with their ministrations be reborn, with their Echo suppressed. Calling upon the myriad lives they've lived, they wander Etheirys with their husband, spreading peace and succor to this day.

Ul'dahn Apothecary

Sagil was the product of a poor seeq maiden being assaulted by a wealthy merchant lalafell in southern Ilsabard, during a black market business trip. The lalafell returned to Ul'dah thinking nothing of his actions, until the maiden came to his doorstep on death's door, holding an infant. Turned away, she passed away in Pearl Lane, where Sagil was picked up by a poor orphanage.Sagil grew up ostracized due to his appearance, and hid behind a wooden facemask his caretaker fashioned for him. When she grew ill, Sagil desperately sought a way to cure her, but failed. The orphanage closed soon after.Left penniless and alone, Sagil did whatever he could to stay afloat. Eventually, he enrolled in the Alchemist's guild, to gain some way of making a living. Shaving his own horn for use as a reagent, he soon managed to find a footing as a niche apothecary.During the Calamity, seeing it as an opportunity to make a profit, he ran around Ul'dah as a field medic, healing the wounded without a cost, catching the attention of a monster. Defenseless, he was luckily saved by a "white knight" that dispatched the fiend and sprinted back into the fray. Taking it as a sign that he had done enough, he retreated and tended to his own wounds.After the Calamity, his efforts had borne fruit; His ministrations were effective, and his lack of price saved a hundred lives, rocketing his reputation to a trusted medicinal merchant; the head of Second Chance Apothecary.Though he had found success, his mind lingered on his white knight. He searched high and low, far and wide, picking up pugilism and the lance to defend himself along the way, but could never find his knight; nor even a whisper of his whereabouts. Eventually, convincing himself that his knight perished during the Calamity, he returned to Ul'dah and continued his work as the head of Second Chance Apothecary.One day, however, on another day of avoiding paperwork, he ran across his white knight, wandering the streets of Ul'dah listlessly. Ecstatic he was to see his savior again, he realized something was wrong with them, and took them in his care to see what he could do.Weeks of medical examination and collaborating with the knight's acquaintances later to gain an understanding of his situation, he fashioned a concoction that would suppress his Echo. This would prove to give his knight a "rebirth" of sorts, transforming into the Rahim we know today.With his spouse's connections as a worldwide mercenary, and encouragement, he picked up the Sage's entourage to bring his medical knowledge to the battlefield. So too do they wander Etheirys to this day, spreading peace and succor.
